Welcome to Hair By Lauren. We want every client to have the best possible experience with us, so we’ve put together a few simple terms and conditions. These help us keep things running smoothly and ensure fairness for both you and us.

1. Patch Tests
• For your safety, all colour services require a patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment.
• If a patch test hasn’t been carried out in advance, unfortunately we will not be able to go ahead with your colour service.
• Patch tests must be repeated if you haven’t had a colour service with us in the last 6 months, or if your health/hair history has changed (e.g. new medication, pregnancy, or other treatments).

2. Deposits & Payments
• A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking for certain services (such as colour appointments).
• Deposits will be deducted from your final bill at your appointment. Deposits are non- refundable
3. Cancellations & No-Shows
• We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
• Late cancellations (less than 48 hours before your appointment) will result in the deposit being forfeited.
• Cancellation & No-Show Policy: If there is a valid card kept on file from online bookings and no deposit is made, or if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, arrive late to the point that the appointment cannot be completed, or fail to attend your appointment for any reason, the full appointment fee will be automatically charged to the card on file. This is due to the short notice preventing the appointment slot from being filled and resulting in a loss.
• No-shows (not attending your appointment without notice) will mean that to rebook, any future appointments must be paid in full and upfront.

4. Running Late
• We understand things happen! If you’re running late, please let us know as soon as possible.
• If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to carry out the full service booked and your deposit may be lost.

5. Children & Guests
• For safety reasons, children under 12 cannot be left unsupervised in the salon.
• Please bring only one guest if you wish, as space is limited and we want to keep a calm, relaxing environment.

6. Service Guarantee
• We always want you to leave the salon feeling happy and confident. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please contact us within 7 days of your appointment so we can arrange to put things right.

7. Health & Safety
• Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or recent changes to your health before your appointment.
• We reserve the right to refuse a service if we believe it may be unsafe for you or your hair.

8. Privacy
• Any personal details you provide (such as phone numbers, email, and patch test history) are kept secure and confidential.
• We will only use your information to contact you about your appointments and salon updates (if you’ve opted in).

9. Right to Refuse Service
• We reserve the right to refuse service in cases of abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour. Our salon is a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
